Periods of automorphic forms over reductive subgroups

چکیده

We present a regularization procedure of period integrals automorphic forms on group $G$ over an arbitrary reductive subgroup $G' \subset G$. As consequence we obtain explicit $G'(\mathbb{A})$-invariant functional the space whose exponents avoid certain prescribed hyperplanes. also provide necessary and sufficient condition for convergence in terms their exponents.

Closed Geodesics and Periods of Automorphic Forms

We study the detailed structure of the distribution of Eichler-Shimura periods of an automorphic form on a compact hyperbolic surface. We show that these periods do not cluster around the asymptotic period over a homology class discovered by Zelditch. 0. Introduction and Results Let M = H/Γ be a compact hyperbolic surface, where Γ is a discrete subgroup of PSL(2,R) = SL(2,R)/{±I}. Such a surfac...

Cohomology of Arithmetic Groups and Periods of Automorphic Forms

(1) Firstly, I gave a brief introduction to the cohomology of arithmetic groups, in particular the fact that the “tempered” (informally: “near the middle dimension”’) part of the cohomology looks like the cohomology of a torus. This corresponds to §2, §3, §4 of these notes. For the reader totally unfamiliar with the cohomology of arithmetic groups, §3 might be the best thing to focus on. (2) Ne...

Toroidal Automorphic Forms, Waldspurger Periods and Double Dirichlet Series

The space of toroidal automorphic forms was introduced by Zagier in the 1970s: a GL2-automorphic form is toroidal if it has vanishing constant Fourier coefficients along all embedded non-split tori. The interest in this space stems (amongst others) from the fact that an Eisenstein series of weight s is toroidal for a given torus precisely if s is a non-trivial zero of the zeta function of the q...

Automorphic Forms

We apply a theorem of J. Lurie to produce cohomology theories associated to certain Shimura varieties of type U(1, n−1). These cohomology theories of topological automorphic forms (TAF ) are related to Shimura varieties in the same way that TMF is related to the moduli space of elliptic curves. We study the cohomology operations on these theories, and relate them to certain Hecke algebras. We c...

Automorphic Forms and Sums of Squares over Function Fields

We develop some of the theory of automorphic forms in the function field setting. As an application, we find formulas for the number of ways a polynomial over a finite field can be written as a sum of k squares, k ≥ 2. Given a finite field Fq with q odd, we want to determine how many ways a polynomial in Fq[T ] can be written as a sum of k squares. For k ≥ 3 (or k = 2, −1 not a square in Fq), t...
